In AP Physics B,
students conduct field and laboratory investigations, use scientific
methods during investigations, and make informed decisions using
critical thinking and scientific problems solving. Students study a
variety of topics that include: laws of motion; change within a physical
systems and conservation of energy and momentum; forces;
thermodynamics; characteristics and behavior of waves; and electricity.
This course provides students with a conceptual framework, and factual
knowledge, and analytical and scientific skills. In May, students can take an exam for college credit.
It is here
where I have attempted to provide class PowerPoints for teachers and
course notes for students. Are they perfect? Certainly not! There is
always room for improvement. I also have attempted to provide video of
myself doing the experiments in my course. These can serve several
purposes. Overall, they are for absent students or students on hospital
home-bound. For whatever reason, I hope they serve your purpose well.
